Last nights match with Richmond and Essendon was historic not just for the aboriginal content past and present but also for the caning the poor old Bombers got.
My family got home pretty crushed by the result. Michael told me the Essendon fans started leaving early on when they could see how bad the end was gonna be.
Lisa said everyone around her was swearing and cursing about the results. The kids were upset, no dou bt about it.
But I have to wonder:
How could it be, in this day and age of unlimited money, all the technology you could poke a stick at plus the 'glamour' of the game itself , that a team cannot have all the fabulous players they could get?
Doesn't it make you wonder what is going on? How is the club in question being managed? What the hell are they playing at? I mean, seriously?????????????
And where are all the young players busting to get into these clubs?
Obviously I don't really get how football works (used to be called footy) cos if you knew your team was gonna be in the spotlight every week like they are wouldn't you make sure you had the best players? How could one team so incredibly thrash the other?
Give me answers, anyone?
