Is anyone else frustrated with the 'Ideas Summit' (2020 Summit) currently running in Canberra and instigated by our new dashing heroic PM? He of the smooth hir and smooth manner is rapidly gaining a reputation for all talk and no action.
I am particularly frustrated with the revving up of that old chestnut, the Republic.
Who cares, for Pete's sake? Whogives a rats whether we are or become a dumb Republic???
Whena country has major problems going on and money desperately needed in all sorts of areas, the last thing we need is huge amounts being spent on debating such meaningless topics.
'Banana Republic is a good term for all the silly ways we can mill around wasting time and money. We are the laughing stock of the rest of the world with these outdated issues.
It seems also a huge shame that the summit, which is not a bad idea in itself but anyone can see is going to get out of hand, can come up still with such boring and repetive ideas.
Are we not being 'manipulated' once again by pollies with a desire to be remembered as the ones who instigated the infamous Republic?
