How can those riders sleep tonight?

It was brilliant today at Werribee. The high level dressage continued with CCC*** in the main indoor arena.
All the big names were there, being examined closely not only for the comp but for Olympic selection.
Will Enzinger, from Wandin, was dazzling on his gorgeous bay thoroughbred 'Badger Boy'. He is running second as we speak, and I know will be pretty hard to beat xcountry. Another wonderful rider to watch was Christopher Burton who seriously had the best-looking horses and rode effortlessly and beautifully to place third at the moment.
Shane Rose, a popular contender from NSW impressed the judges and is currently running second after the conclusion of the three star this arvo.
One horse, a strident grey who entered above the bit and remained that way on and off for his whole test, reared up and nearly fell over backwards, terrifying his poor rider. They are coming last.
My favorite from yesterday, Amanda Howell, had a horse which possessed a curious gait or extravagant movement or something; though she was clearly a stunning rider the lack of flow in her test has pushed her to fourtheenth!
But the rider who was sheer poetry, who stunned the judges and beguiled the audience on her magnificent silver grey Irish Sport Horse was Megan Jones, from South Australia.
She is currently running first. She was perfect.
Flowing, floating and flawless.
After the tests were over this afternoon we walked the xcountry course. Boy, you reckon that is a nightmare! Can't see how any of the riders could get any sleep tonight with that in front of them!
The three stars have a course just shy of six kilometres, containing 27 horrific jumps with all kinds of nasties to challenge horse and rider. Maximum height of these jumps cannot exceed 1.7metres and width approx. 2metres. I can tell you, they are scary!
It is a course which will separate the riders yet again in skill, determination, courage and endurance and will be very exciting to watch.
I will let you know tomorrow night how this goes!
Fingers crossed please and a prayer for all the horses and riders!!!!!!!!
