Maybe China should encourage Guerrilla Gardening?

China: the new super-power; the new leader of thinking and ideas; the hot new young economy driving the worlds markets. Economic progress at all costs; big environmental devastation for a burgeoning fiscal result. Huge disparity between rich and poor within its country.
But yes, get used to it, China is the new force to be reckoned with in the world and will soon, if not already has., outstrip America as the world leader.
Still, the US is coming to the rescue yet again in world politics.
No mention of China stepping in, guess they haven't yet realised their full global responsibilites. Or else they are busy bludgeoning Tibetans into submission, extracting bile from bears or stealing children to work in the brick kilns.
Bush has pledged $US770 million to help stave off the global food crisis. Good old Bush. Can always be counted on to step in and save the world.
One good thing is that some of the money will be used to help poorer countries fix up their more remote roads and produce their own food (if they can) so as not to be totally reliant on the world economy.
This is all good.
But what about that fantastic story about 'night-time guerrillas'? Did you see that in the paper?
Apparently there is an 'army' of people who creep about in the dead of night planting flowers and vegetables in neglected urban places. Peaceful but determined, they are trying the make the most use of available land and add some beauty along the way. Some are getting arrested (can you beleive that?) but what a fabulous concept!
You will me on this?
Gotta go and practise for tonights concert: Berlioz.
