My blog has thrown up some intersting comments during this first week of its life. But though I am itching to talk about public education, funding thereof and various other favorite 'soap box' topics, I am a bit thrown by the idea of perception. I am slow to understand that writing in the 'blogosphere' in this way the idea of perception, traditionally garnered by visuality, is disguised to a large extent. 'You are what you write' would probably be a truism, a fascinating concept to keep me awake at night now instead of fretting about our lost millilon pounds. To be totally defined by what you write and produce on your blog page is a scary thought and I feel a bit crushed and underconfident at the moment. (this will fade quickly). But not only is your 'personna' totally revealed or not revealed on the page, your own perception of yourself is re-defined by other peoples ideas of who or what you are. (reminds me of that song by Missy Higgins; when you are young you have this image of yourself.....)
