Wish Rose Luck in the Long Paddock...

Accidents can happen so quickly. Unloading my daughter's horse from the float, I'd forgotten how Rose is always following me, and she wandered forward and positioned herself right under the lowering tail-gate. Mattie's horse was unusually restive and backed out in a hurry. I flung forward to save the lamb from being crushed and the horse backed onto me, throwing me to the ground.
Ouch! I landed on the stony ground hard on my buttock bone, which now hurts like billy-o! Hard to sit down!
How'm I to sit in the long drive to the city tomorrow for this big horse trial thingy the kids are doing?
Speaking of Rose, who is now a good 6 weeks of age, we have the sad task of turning her out in the paddock with a flock tomorrow morning. I say sad, not cos I'll miss her constant bleating, butting at the door, preference to being under my feet and in my face and gentle nibbling on anything or anything within her range; more cos we are worred whether she will survive or not.
Not much feed in the paddocks, no mum or any friends at this stage to speak of. Life can be tough for a little lamb, who thinks she is a dog or something, not a sheep anyway.
Guess she'll adjust. One thing I won't be able to take is finding her dead in the paddock some time. Wish her luck!
Catchya lata!
