Sex, Sex and more sex....

Blog Adviser, written by Jon, tells us that much of the traffic going through ones blog is looking for 'saucy' or sexy images; that most people are not interested in reading stuff but to download images for their own purposes.
'Feelings' blogger Krystal, asks, are we offended by the amount of 'sleaze' appearing on Orble? Comments to her range from "lighten up and get over yourself or it" type of thing, to: "don't you think you have profited by sleaze images yourself, Krystal?"
Tis all very interesting.
There is no doubt that this is the internet, and yes, it is 2008, (as one commenter waspishly put it) but does that mean we have to accept a certain amount of sexual innuendo?
It seems yes we do, cos as we all know sex sells, and in the case of blogging, if you chuck a few suggestive -type photos on board you are sure to garner attention and higher 'hits'.
Why have we become such a 'slave' to these sexual images and all things sexy?
I often think, though I am not sure, that civilised man should really make the attempt to rise above such baser, lustful thoughts and desires. Yes, animals too suffer strong sexual desire and they basically jump right in and go for it. But we are supposed to be possesed of a higher intelligence and therefore can control our thoughts and actions better.
Is there no discipline or self-control left in our society?
Can people no longer read simple text without having the image of naked bare-breasted women thrust at them like dummies for them to suck? We have to be in a permanent state of titivation, is that it?
Course, if you, dearest reader, have stuck around long enough to get this far in my boring, sexless, image-less ramblings, you clearly are made of sterner stuff and able to hold back the keening within you to click on and on in search of ever more raunchy pictures.
Gosh, I do sound like a freak, rabbiting on, don't you think? What bad form, to not want to accept that sex and ithe nternet are intertwined beyond hope.
Ok, off you go now and see what naughty pics you can source. I could put some of my own in, from back in the days when I used to work as a stripper to get through uni.......
