With Cat-Like Tread......

Rose is still alive, though she has suffered a bit of a setback with a change of the brand of replacement milk powder we are using. It is true to say she has not bonded to her new brand, indeed I have to hold her firmly and force her to suck at the moment, while she tries to back away from me.
She has grown taller and stronger and is able to gather herself and scramble out of the big Bunning’s tub which has been her home for the first week of her life. Sometimes she gets her long, ungainly legs caught and awkwardly straddles the edge, bleating sadly until one of us rescues her. If separated from the family she bleats and carries on or trots around trying to locate us. Sometimes she will follow the chooks or settle for the pup (who has now grown to the size of a small mastiff though only 5 months).
This morning the sun was warm and we put Rose outside on the fresh autumn grass. She kicked up a huge noise until she had company again. It is worrying me regarding what to do with her when term resumes next week. The neighbours, especially the very ‘shouty’ ones, are bound to complain (though as the kids pointed out, they may not be able to hear her above their arguing and plasma).
Rose likes nothing better than to curl up on someone’s lap and drop off to sleep as the TV is being watched or people are just hanging out.
Right now she is lying on the sofa next to my son watching a dvd, curled up on 'her' green woolly (er, acrylic) jumper and fast asleep.
Rather like a cat.......

Someone has filed a lawsuit in Hawaii, some distance from Geneva, hoping to stop the power up, because he's worried that we are Messing With Forces Beyond Our Control. They fear that all of the uncontrolled proton smashing might create a black hole, which would spaghettify the accelerator, before sucking in the rest of the planet behind it. Alternately, normal quarks might get mixed up with strange quarks, suddenly turning everything in this universe into a 'strangelet' goo.
That would be bad, but it would happen so quickly that nobody would notice, not even Rose, and so it probably isn't worth worrying about.
